Bethesda says that its current plan for the beta is for it to include the full game, and for all of your progress to then carry over to the finished release.

Fallout 76 is scheduled to release on the 14th of November, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

It was previously announced that expansion DLC for the game will be free, but there will be paid cosmetic items.

Fallout 76's beta is expected to launch at "a later date".

For one, it means you won't have easy access to your friends list when it comes to invite people to your Fallout 76 squad. Still, it's a noteworthy move to skip Steam in part because the previous Fallout games were released on Valve's store.

There is no embargo on content for the Beta either, meaning players can stream, screenshot and record to their hearts content whilst they beta test the latest Fallout game. The game will be available on Xbox One and PS4, but will be available through Bethesda.net only when on PC, not through Steam or other distribution platforms.

"I and members of the studio regularly lurk, and it's been great to read through your questions and feedback". Though beta tests are absolutely nothing new for games, when a company takes a beloved franchise and flips it on its head, that testing period becomes vital when satiating fan curiousities and sating worries.

"We'll start small and grow over time as we prepare for launch".

Jurassica added: "To clarify, everyone who pre-orders at a participating retailer will be included in the B.E.T.A".
