The adaptation of the Image Comics graphic novel, starring Chris Pratt and Priyanka Chopra, has suddenly, mysteriously, been pulled from the release schedule by Universal.

The novel revolves around an assassin who manifests the toughest skills of three different personas: a cowboy, a ninja, and a viking. According to Hollywood entertainment portal, the producers of Cowboy Ninja Viking have removed the film from the release calendar.

The production studios suggest that the film will get another release date at a later time to solve the production scheduling issue.

Reportedly the movie was supposed to start shooting in London next month.

While the sequel to 2015's Jurassic World, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, has performed admirably at the summer box office, actor Chris Pratt and his fellow Guardians of the Galaxy cast members have been plagued by the recent firing of writer-director James Gunn. As for her future films, Priyanka has The Sky is Pink and Hollywood film Isn't it Romantic in her kitty.

The film will be directed by Michelle MacLaren, who is best known for helming episodes of major TV series such as Game of Thrones, Westworld, The Leftovers and The Breaking Bad. She was originally set to make her feature film debut with Wonder Woman, but she bumped heads with DC and Warner Bros., and left under the guise of creative differences. She is also developing The Nightingale, a WWII thriller that is set up over at Tr-Star. Guymon Casady, Ben Forkner and Mark Gordon are producing this unique take on the comic book genre. The actor will next be seen in Vincent D'Onofrio's western The Kid, and he also returns for The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part.
