And gadget fans have just been given their first idea of when to expect the new Google flagship. You don't need to wait for the Pixel OTA, though.

YouTube creators and marketing agencies use Famebit as a middle ground to coordinate sponsored content. Brandon Lee of AndroidPolice and YouTube channel This is Tech Today identified a posting on Famebit requesting promotion for the Pixel 3.

It seems like the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL will be announced on October 4, at least according to a new piece of info that just surfaced.

Considering that both the original Pixel and the Pixel 2 were released on this date in 2017 and 2016 respectively, you may be forgiven for thinking there wasn't a lot of detective work that went into this.

The ad specifically says that, "The Pixel 3 phone is launching October 4th, 2018".

Leaked renders based on real-life photos of the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL phones.

Google appears to have inadvertently shared the launch date for its long-awaited Pixel 3 smartphone - and is apparently looking for "influencers" to review the phone for up to $10,000 a pop.

Industry leaker Evan Blass reported that besides the Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL, and second-generation Pixel Buds, Google's upcoming hardware event will introduce a Pixel-branded watch.

So far, we are seeing new Android 9.0.0 files for Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL (PPR1.180610.009, PPR1.180610.011), as well as the Pixel and Pixel XL (PPR1.180610.009, PPR1.180610.010).

Today is the big day-after months of beta builds and speculation, Android 9 Pie is rolling out to Pixels (and at least one other phone).

Although there's not much news about at the moment regarding the design or components of the Pixel 3, we're sure to hear more as the calendar gets closer to October 4.
