Emirates wins world's best inflight entertainment award

In addition to being voted "World's Best Business Class" by travellers from around the world, the airline was also named "Best Airline In The Middle East", the seventh time it has received this tremendous accolade.

"This award shows that our customers, whom we thank for their continued loyalty, appreciate the investments Air Canada is making to deliver service that is the best in North America and increasingly recognized as industry-leading globally".

2018 marked a milestone year for the airline as Norwegian proudly launched its first route to South America with a direct service from London to Buenos Aires and its first route between London and Singapore.

This year, Qatar came in second while Japan's All Nippon Airways took third place.

Air travelers voted Singapore Airlines the best carrier in the world, according to SkyTrax who surveys more than 20 millions of fliers every year.

In 2017, Vietnam Airlines recorded impressive sales of 88.4 trillion VND and carried 26.5 million passengers.

The survey covered over 200 airlines, from the largest global airlines to smaller domestic carriers. It also claimed best first class, best airline in Asia and best first class seat. The airline was recognised for winning this award for the ninth consecutive year. Customers in all cabin classes receive 20MB of free Wi-Fi data, and each month almost one million passengers connect while inflight.

Other previous winners of the top prize have included Emirates (2001, 2002, 2013, 2016), Cathay Pacific (2003, 2005, 2009, 2014) and Asiana (2010).

He added that AirAsia would continue to use technology to make it easy for people to fly at low fare and the airline was also working on some new destinations.

The best airline carrier in Europe was found to be Virgin Atlantic. Aeroflot 7. EVA Air 8.

Air France lived up to its nation's reputation for culinary excellence with awards for best first class onboard catering, best first class comfort amenities and best first class lounge dining.
