Louis was sound asleep as he was carried into the Chapel Royal by Kate for the christening ceremony, but afterwards looked content and wiggled his fingers as his mother beamed at him as she held him in her arms.

Taken by photographer Matt Holyoak, the gorgeous photos show the Kate Middlton and Prince William with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

With Prince George and Princess Charlotte joining their parents for Louis' big day, it was the first time the Cambridges were seen together as a family of five.

Photographer Matt Holyoak captured the special moments at Clarence House after the christening.

Mr Holyoak said: 'Everyone was so relaxed and in such good spirits, it was an absolute pleasure.

One of the snaps shows them surrounded by Prince Charles, Camilla, Kate's family and Prince Harry and Meghan.

Louis' great-grandparents, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, were unable to attend the christening.

The Duchess of Cambridge wore a dress by designer Alexander McQueen, the same designer she's worn for each of her children's christenings, and a hat by Jane Taylor.

As per royal tradition, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have now shared several portraits taken on the day.

The Duchess of Cornwall is cheerful in a cream Fiona Clare dress and a Locke hat, while grandfather Prince Charles appears tanned and relaxed.

Kate's sister Pippa, who is now pregnant with her first child, proudly stood with her husband James Matthews and brother James Middleton.

Kate's sister Pippa, 34, now Mrs Matthews and expecting her own child, also stands behind the Chippendale sofa in a custom-made Alessandra Rich outfit that complements her mother's.

Newlyweds Prince Harry and Meghan, who looked stylish in an olive-green Ralph Lauren outfit and Stephen Jones hat, were also in attendance, along with Louis' siblings Prince George, 4, and Princess Charlotte, 3.
