While regulatory filings made zero mention of a yellow S-Pen, it was pretty obvious that it was coming and that there would be some sort of blue/yellow combo.

Leaker Ice Universe has tweeted a photo purportedly showing off Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Note 9. Earlier leaks have suggested that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 9 could come in five colour options- Blue, Grey, Lavender, Black, and Brown. A recent image leak also showed Samsung ditching physical buttons in favor of on-screen navigation buttons.

If there's one thing that can be said with certainty for the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, it's that Samsung will once again take the lazy approach on the gadget.

TechRadar will be reporting live from Samsung's Unpacked launch event in NY on August 9 to bring you everything you need to know about the new Galaxy Note 9. The side edges still retain Samsung's characteristic curves. Apart from the repositioned fingerprint scanner, the Note 9 is likely to sport the same design as the predecessor Note 8. The device is also expected to feature dual rear cameras and 4,000mAh battery. Samsung particularly markets its Note handsets to users who want a device that can help them work on the go.

Update: Here's how the Galaxy Note 8's S Pen looks when shot from a similar angle.

All this and more will be confirmed about the Galaxy Note 9 on August 9 when Samsung will officially unveil the handset at a special event in New York City.
