Jenner's net worth has skyrocketed thanks to the success of Kylie Cosmetics.
Kylie Jenner was only ten years old when the public first encountered her in Keeping Up with the Kardashians, the reality show that turned a drama-prone collection of pampered Los Angeles siblings into global celebrities.
Kylie's inclusion in the list of the "self-made" wealthy was challenged on social media with critics noting that she came from a life of privilege.
Once she crosses the $1 billion mark, she will unseat Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg as the youngest-ever self-made billionaire.
Dictionary.com also pointed out that the searches for "self-made" were up by 18,628 per cent on their website.
However, Dictionary.com had a bone to pick with Jenner and the magazine, sharing a not-so-subtle tweet defining what it means to be "self-made".
The online dictionary's Twitter account even went as far as to give the link for the online definition of the word "self-made". "Yes, Kylie comes from a wealthy family and she got a visibility boost from her family, but she owns her company and is valued based on earnings she has personally received and on the value of the company she founded".
