The evening event held at Glencairn House boasted a 300-strong guest list and Prince Harry took to the stage to give a touching speech.

During the trip, Meghan also met Irish PM Leo Varadkar, but it is not known the topic of the abortion bill came up in their conversation.

While seated for the ceremony, the Duchess of Cambridge appeared to catch her husband laughing to himself in an adorable moment that was captured on camera.

When it came to her accessories the newly-wedded royal stuck simple black accents in the form of a suede shoe and an oversize leather handbag.

The Duke arrived at Aras an Uachtarain in the city's Phoenix Park on Wednesday morning along with the Duchess, who was wearing a taupe green dress by designer Roland Mouret.

Wickstead addressed the commentary in an Instagram post: "Her Royal Highness, the Duchess of Sussex looked absolutely handsome on her wedding day and I have the utmost admiration and respect for her".

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have arrived at Westminster Abbey to mark the centenary of the Royal Air Force.

Harry and Meghan will "meet the people of Dublin and visit organisations which are central to Irish life".

A reporter asked the prince, whose brother William is the head of the Football Association (FA) whether "football was coming home", referring to the 1996 World Cup song.

They are to visit Trinity College later to view the Book of Kells.

HELLO! spoke to Leeanne Hundleby, the co-owner and founder of Strathberry who revealed: "We are delighted that the Duchess of Sussex chose to carry Strathberry for her début official oversea visit to Dublin, the third time she has championed our brand". She would have made sure she was happy with the itinerary.

Meghan and Harry are officially in Ireland.
