Picking up one week after the emergency response team stormed Litchfield Penitentiary, the ladies of Litch have been torn apart, literally and figuratively, as they enter a new facility in the sixth season of Orange Is The New Black. Netflix teases that maximum security will test bonds and new allegiances will be formed.
In anticipation, the streaming giant shared the first full trailer for season six, and it shows Litchfield's inmates settling into their new digs in maximum security - and it's anything but a smooth transition. The series has been renewed for a seventh - and possibly final - season.
'Navigating adult female friendships is so complicated, ' the uncoiling Crazy Eyes declares.
Regardless of how this divide splits up these women, as Red (Kate Mulgrew) succinctly puts it, "You don't know how strong my girls are".
As with all seasons of Orange is the New Black, there will be comedy mixed with drama and with Season 6 placing them all back to square one, all bets are off.

The new season drops on Friday, July 27th. Because of season five's riot, detectives are on the scene still working to place charges on the leaders of the event, in hopes of pressuring them to turn on each other. Of course we're going to watch it, but this is the first time an upcoming season of the show feels more like an assignment rather than something we're looking forward to.
