Gonzalo Higuain seems to be looking to remain at Juventus this summer despite mounting interest in the Argentina worldwide.

Chelsea's quest to sign a marquee centre-forward has hit a big snag as one of their key targets, Juventus forward Gonzalo Higuain has stated that he is happy in Turin and not looking for a move away from the club.

He previously worked with Sarri during his stint at Napoli and netted 36 goals under the Italian coach in 2015-16.

Reports claimed Higuain was set to make a move to the London club but his brother and agent, Nicolas, has denied the Argentina worldwide is set to leave Turin.

At the moment we haven't spoken to any other clubs, as we have a three-year contract with Juventus.

It looks like Sarri is already working on possible new recruits as TeamTalk are citing a report from Sport Mediaset that claims Chelsea have agreed a sensational deal to sign Higuain from Juventus.

The other Nigerian at the club, Ola Aina, and other Chelsea non- World Cup players are expected to resume for pre-season at the club's Surrey Headquarters this weekend.

The forward has been at Juventus since 2016 and has scored 40 goals in his 73 appearances for the Old Lady. "I owe him a great deal", Sarri said.

The prolonged uncertainty surrounding Conte and Sarri has had a paralysing effect on Chelsea's transfer plans in a window already complicated by the World Cup and compressed by the Premier League's earlier deadline, set for August 9. "Secondly, Gonzalo is happy in Turin so I see no real chance of leaving".
