New Orleans' WDSU-TV identified the man as Renard Matthews, saying he died June 25 after being shot in the head.
Matthews' body was sat lounged back in a padded swivel chair, and he was dressed in his Boston Celtics vest.
He was dressed in his Celtics jersey, playing National Basketball Association 2K on an XBOX with his favorite snacks and chair.
The family made a decision to celebrate him in a unique way this past Sunday, surrounding him with his favorite snacks and "playing" NBA2K while wearing the jersey of Kyrie Irving.
The 18-year-old Matthews will be buried Tuesday.
Family members said they wanted people to remember him the way he always was.
Although it's not stated explicitly, he's likely "playing" a version of National Basketball Association 2K based on the above video which included a shot of the television screen.
