Like George in 2013, Louis wore his wearing his finery to the Chapel Royal at St. James Palace; and like with both George and Charlotte, the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby will be performing the christening honors. On Monday just before the christening, the palace confirmed that the gown would be worn by Louis once more to continue the royal tradition.

Welcome (officially) to the world, little Prince Louis.

It was a family affair for the Middletons, who all stepped out on Monday afternoon to celebrate Prince Louis' christening.

The 11-week-old prince, whose full name is Louis Arthur Charles, was born on April 23 and is fifth in line to the British throne.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and wife Kate, are now celebrating the christening of their third child, Prince Louis!

Britain's Prince Louis, son of Prince William and Kate Middleton-the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge-will be christened today in a private ceremony in London.

Louis' aunt and uncle the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were among the guests in the chapel at St James's Palace in London. As ever, his older siblings Prince George, four, and Princess Charlotte, three, were on their best behaviour on their baby brother's special day, and looked simply adorable in matching blue and white outfits as they arrived clutching onto dad Prince William's hands. Kate's parents Carole and Michael Middleton, her brother James and her pregnant sister Pippa were also present.

The decision is understood not to have been taken on health grounds, and to have been mutually agreed by the Queen and the Cambridges some time ago.

They include Kate's cousin Lucy Middleton, Nicholas van Cutsem, whose daughter was a bridesmaid at the wedding of Harry and Meghan in May, and Guy Pelly, a childhood friend of William's.

Louis was dressed in a cream, frilly lace royal christening gown - a replica of the intricate robe made for Queen Victoria's eldest daughter in 1841.
