The surprise visit comes as Gadot and crew are filming Wonder Woman 1984, the sequel to the 2017 blockbuster, in the Washington, D.C., and Virginia area.

A promotional image for the next film, titled Wonder Woman 1984, shows Gadot standing before a bank of TV screens showing Larry Hagman from 1980s TV show Dallas, among other things. The hotly anticipated sequel, which also brings back co-star Chris Pine, is due out on November 1 next year, the Hollywood Reporter notes. "The kids loved it...and so did the staff".

Finally, we got a little sneak peek at the title character as Gadot posted pics of the character. Kristen Wiig has also joined the cast as villain Cheetah.

Director Patty Jenkins released on Twitter a photo of Minerva uncomfortably looking around a natural history museum. In the photo, Pine strolls around an '80s shopping center in period garb while looking very uneasy. A sequel to Wonder Woman, titled Wonder Woman 1984, is set to hit theaters next year and is now filming in Washington DC and Virginia.

This was in spite of the decision of multiple countries including Lebanon and Tunisia to ban the movie because Gal is Israeli and served in her country's military in accordance with the draft.

Wonder Woman had the best domestic gross of any DC Extended Universe film and - trumped by Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice - the second best global gross.
