Alli and Gareth Southgate's Three Lions take on Sweden in their World Cup quarter final final on Saturday afternoon and former England under-21 worldwide Baker says Alli's progression has come as no shock whatsoever.

ENGLAND goalkeeping great David Seaman believes Jordan Pickford is relishing proving his critics wrong at the World Cup.

The force circulated CCTV images and launched a manhunt after an NHS ambulance was trampled near Borough Market during wild celebrations as England reached their first World Cup semi-final in 28 years.

Asked why she was determined to screen the match during her special day, she said: "Because I can't function without watching the game".

The 1966 World Cup champions last reached the semifinals in 1990, losing the first of a series of haunting penalty shootouts. In general, England supporters at the tournament have been well-behaved. There was Robert Green allowing a seemingly harmless shot from US forward Clint Dempsey through his grasp and into the net in a World Cup group-stage game in 2010.

"The boys are bringing it back home".

The chant of "On our way, on our way, to Moscow, on our way" came from England fans in one corner of the stadium throughout the match, and the team's march to the Russian capital is being fueled by goals from set pieces.

"Previously we won our games by sheer guts and tenacity, but against Sweden we played some classy football". The Manchester City goalkeeper, omitted from Gareth Southgate's World Cup squad, batted at No.9 and made six in the Birmingham League match.

Of course, there were some fans who took things a bit too far.

"I don't think we would have seen the likes of (John) Stones and (Harry) Maguire playing in the way that they did in the past".
