Bihar: A class 9th student of a private school in Saran district has alleged that she was raped by 18 people including the school Principal, teachers and fellow students for the last seven months.Police have arrested the Principal, two students and a teacher so far. After making the video these students blackmailed the student. The boy, who had originally made the video, blackmailed her to have sex with other students.

A teenage girl in India's eastern state of Bihar complained she was raped by students and teachers including principal for over seven months at her school, police said Saturday.

"The entire ordeal started in December last when three boys raped her for first time and she tried to seek help from school principal but he also took advantage of the situation instead of helping the victim". While speaking to reporters, Rai said the girl kept quiet over the past eight months fearing social stigma and ostracisation. The accused also shot a video of the rape and threatened to make the video public if she reported the matter to anyone at school or home.

As the news spread, a group of residents tried to ransack the school but the police stopped them.

The girl approached police superintendent Har Kishore Rai with the complaint on Friday morning.

The girl's statement was given to the women's police station and The girl was brought to Sadar Hospital on Friday for a medical examination the report of which is expected to come soon. He said the accused shared the video with some friends in the school, who blackmailed and raped the girl.

The SP said a special investigation team headed by deputy superintendent of police Ajay Kumar Singh has been set up to investigate the case.

While four among the 18 accused have been arrested, the police said an operation has been launched to apprehend others named by the victim.
