And we're not even kidding, as Chinese smartphone maker Honor has announced the Honor 10 GT - the first smartphone from the company to launch with 8GB of RAM. Such as the Hi-Silicon Kirin 970 along with Huawei's new GPU turbo technology which boosts GPU performance without throttling your system. The smartphone is powered by a 2.4 GHz HiSilicon Kirin 970 octa-core processor coupled with Mali-G72 MP12 GPU.

The representative of Huawei has mentioned that the GPU Turbo update is the key feature of this version which increases the performance by 60% but lowers the power usage by 30%. Aside from the expanded RAM, the rest of the innards of the GT variant is the same as the Honor 10 including the 24MP + 16MP dual camera unit and 128GB storage.

The GPU Turbo update is free and makes your phone better at playing games, so is there a downside? But in case you want something more from your phone, Honor has you covered. The app quick-pic will be a great choice to quickly browse them on your phone's storage and setting them as a wallpaper for home screen or lock screen or event as a Display-picture if you want to do so.

The device will go on sale July 24 at Honor's online store and JD.com, but pricing remains to be determined. The front hosts a 24-megapixel selfie camera with 1.8-micron pixels. However, graphics on the phone seems to have been enhanced with the help of the GPU Turbo technology that was introduced with the launch of Honor Play last month.

The Honor 10 GT was announced by Huawei on their website today.

What we're more interested in is the company's flagship offerings, which often look like and are specced similarly to Huawei's latest smartphones, but often cost less. It includes a notch on the front and dual cameras at the back, The Verge reported.

Other than more RAM, the Honor 10 GT boasts the same innards and appearance. It also runs the Oreo-based EMUI 8.1 update out-of-the-box, and features an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
