Epic Games has added settings on Fortnite iOS for low power mode and scaleability as well as improving touchscreen controls and touch rotation sensitivity.

Playground sounds exactly like you'd expect, it'll be a place where you and your friends will load into a private island where you can do whatever you want. In fact, on Wednesday, the developer shared its latest batch of patch notes for v4.5 of the game, which includes an interesting new mode, a new weapon type, and a Save the World finale. "Friendly fire is on so you can scrimmage with your squad (up to 4 friends per match), but fear not you'll respawn immediately", reads a post on the company's site. "We've got multiple teams working to get this mode back into your hands so you can let your imaginations run wild", said Epic on Reddit.

Following on from today's outage and Fortnite update, Epic Games have released another smaller patch.

You won't have problems finding gear either - all gold chest nodes are turned on in this mode, so you can familiarize yourself with where loot may drop when you play the regular game.

Dual Pistols are also making their way to the Battle Royale this week, and look like they could be a top-tier choice for players who want to inflict a great deal of damage with a single button press.

The Week 9 Challenges will see Fortnite players make their way across the map to collect their Battle Stars.

The lawsuit, which was first reported on last month, was based on the same reason the two games became overnight successes: The wildly popular "battle-royale" type gameplay that pits 100 players against each other until one player or team is left standing.
