Steam's Summer Sale is now live with oodles of PC game discounts

The Steam Summer Sale 2018 is starting today, with huge deals on PC games beginning to drop at 6pm United Kingdom time on June 21.

It also drew attention to mysterious trading cards that appeared on Steam's website last week, which it says was proof of an impending sale.

Like many of Steam's recent sales, this one doesn't have any flash sales to be on the look out for. It's essentially the Black Friday of online video game sales. The big kahuna, the Steam Summer Sale 2018, is now underway. More specifically, Steam users will be combating an intergalactic force that is trying to destroy all games. Is there anything you'll be hoping to pick up?

Over the last few years, it has grown increasingly easier to get your game published on Steam, which also means it's easier for developers to get the scoop on upcoming Steam sales and leak the dates. Other games worth considering include Nioh: Complete Edition for $29.99 (40% off) and Final Fantasy XV: Windows Edition for $24.99 (50% off).

This number will be sure to increase has Valve Corporation plans to launch Steam China, breaking into the largest gaming market worldwide (just ahead of the United States).

It's not surprising given the regularity of the Steam sales, or at least the summer ones.

Although Valve hasn't made any kind of official announcement, plenty of sources are claiming that this year's Summer Sale kicks off today, June 21.
