What's next for LeBron James?

Golden State Warriors What's next for LeBron James?

Stephen Curry is now locked up on a longterm deal, but Kevin Durant is set to get a new one this summer (he's already said he plans on re-signing).

The lack of talent on the Cleveland roster eventually told in the Finals as they were easily swept by the star-studded Golden State Warriors. Two years, two NBA championships, two NBA Finals MVPs and nearly certainly a new contract in the next few weeks after he and the Warriors decide on the best way to proceed. The game and the series itself lacked the competitive nature most had hoped for.

After Cavaliers' guard J.R. Smith infamously forgot the score at the end of regulation, Golden State outscored Cleveland 17-7 in the extra frame to pull out the win.

The Golden State Warriors have won three of the last four NBA Finals and it doesn't look like the Bay Area dominance is going to come to a stop anytime soon. "I don't even know how or why other than being around a lot of superstars". They know. They know.

"I get asked all the time about MJ, LeBron, and it's such a hard question to ask", Kerr said, per USA Today. "But after a game like that, I'm not in any position to talk about that". Stephen Curry scored 37 points and Kevin Durant had 20 for the Warriors, who won their sixth National Basketball Association title to tie Chicago for third place behind Boston and the Lakers. All playoff series are also the best of seven games. That might have given Durant the MVP edge.

"I had some tough problems going on throughout the course of the season, and I probably could have folded myself, but I wasn't going to do that", he said.

Not everyone has a negative thought on Durant and his choices.

As for James, he accomplished his goal of bringing a title to Cleveland in 2016, but having lost three of four to the Warriors, he likely will move on as a free agent to a team he believes is ready to win.

"When you get on the podium and you realize all the hard work that you put into it and all that you've been through led to that moment, it never gets boring", Curry said.

The greatness can't be questioned now. "Then he has to go through Houston and Golden State". "We had more talent than they did, and talent wins in this league". In what could very well be their last Finals matchup, the Warriors put Cleveland away easily. "I'm going to be his biggest fan in there with what he's able to do".

"I think at this point in his life it's more so of a lifestyle thing".

The final on Friday night was Golden State 108, Cleveland 85. It's mostly black, mostly impoverished.

For his overall playoff performance, Durant was named the MVP of the NBA Finals for a second straight season. "And I feel like these guys embraced me and I feel like I'm a Warrior". It took me out of an environment that I didn't think I'd ever be out of. "And it could go a number of different ways". "It makes us better".

"Then it will ultimately come down to me, and so we'll see what happens". We finished it off with a championship.
