Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition is coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC according to Bandai Namco.

The game was originally released exclusively on the Xbox 360 back in 2008, with a PS3 release included a year later.

If you had told us that a Tales of Vesperia remaster would be coming this year, we'd probably have laughed and then cried.

Though not mentioned in the same circles as say, Final Fantasy, the Tales of series is a very long-running and beloved RPG franchise with highly acclaimed entries on most platforms. The role-playing game follows Yuri Lowell, who must save the planet with the help of a plucky group of characters.

Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition is launching sometime in winter 2018 with no exact date announced yet.

Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition uses a specialized version of the “Tales Of” series Linear Motion Battle System for combat.

Six more Tales games have come out since Vesperia, with 2016's Tales of Berseria being the most recent.

Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition includes upscaled screen resolution, new characters, events, and additional content never released outside of Japan. The company is known for creating and publishing numerous industry's top video game franchises, including PAC-MAN, GALAGA, TEKKEN, SOULCALIBUR, and ACE COMBAT. Like the title suggests, this is the definitive way to play Tales of Vesperia.
