This hot, humid and active weather pattern continues.

Rain and storms are moving in just to the north and south of Hampton Roads. In fact model differences bring low confidence on best timing for rain in an area. Highs for the weekend will be in the upper 80s to low 90s. Winds N 5-10 miles per hour. Showers and thunderstorms could continue late Monday night into early Tuesday morning. Heavy rain, gusty winds and frequent lightning are likely in some areas. The rain chance decreases to 30 percent tonight. With a wave of low pressure along a front to our south, shower and storm chances increase after 4 p.m. or so. Lows will drop in the mid 60s to low 70s with a northeast wind around 5 miles per hour. We can expect mostly cloudy skies with perhaps some sunshine breaking through the clouds later this afternoon.

Tomorrow: Cloudy, Off and on scattered rain/storms (50%). Next Monday the showers will become a bit more scattered again with highs still near 90. High temperatures will be in the lower to middle 90s, and there will be a chance for afternoon showers and storms each day. Damaging winds and some hail is possible with those storms through late evening into the overnight.

You'll wake up to a muggy Wednesday morning with more clouds and a few showers to start, so I suggest an umbrella before running out the door.
