Avengers: Infinity War box office collection: The Marvel film crossed 2 billion dollars in 48 days. Infinity War is expected to surpass Titanic in the next week, putting it directly behind Black Panther's $699,389,760 total. It's only the fourth film in history to break that barrier, and the third to do so in its initial run (Titanic hit $2 billion on re-release).

Infinity War now ranks as the fifth highest-grossing film in the USA and Canada with US$656.1 million thus far. Infinity War also holds the record for the biggest domestic debut ever with $257.7 million in its opening weekend.

Much of Infinity War's total has come from global box office receipts, particularly in China, where it's earned $369.7 million and become the country's third highest-grossing film ever. Indeed, Infinity War placed at 5 last weekend, having added $7.2 million to its total, even besting the debuting Hotel Artemis, which came in at a disappointing 8. Well, Thanos finally launched his primary attack in Avengers: Infinity War and Iron Man is going to have to think creatively to save the universe. (Avatar remains the all-time global champ, with $2.79 billion in grosses.) What sets Infinity War apart, however, is the fact it was released in April, giving an early jump-start to the summer movie season.
