Dost, Carvalho as well as Gelson Martins and Bruno Fernandes have become the latest players to seek termination of their deals at the club, following Rui Patricio's decision to cut his time at the club short earlier this month .

The newspaper says Arsenal low-balled Sporting as Martins has been threatening to terminate his contract if they didn't negotiate his sale but the Portuguese club rejected our offer and insisted we pay his £53m release clause in full.

With Monday's announcement from Bas Dost, something that is of interest to Sevilla, it made it six players already breaking ties with Bruno de Carvalho's club.

The mass exit comes at the end of a tumultuous season for Sporting with clashes between players and both of the club's most radical fans and their president.

A number of Sporting's players were attacked by a mob at the club's training ground after a string of poor results and as such, plenty of them are set to quit the club, which should be allowed as part of their contracts. Police detained more than 20 suspects in the hours following the incident. "Secondly, if we run and get elected again, they maintain their contracts".

De Carvalho threatened to suspend 19 players after Sporting's 2-0 loss to Atletico Madrid in the Europa League in April, in a weird Facebook post singling out some of the club's key names.

He has also refused to accept the legitimacy of a vote later this month to depose him.

In April, the president threatened to suspend nearly the entire first-team squad and lashed out at the players, calling them "spoilt children", according to text messages cited by Patricio in his resignation letter.
