A brand new Spider-Man PS4 trailer has been released, with the web-slinger being showcased during the Sony E3 2018 event and hinting at the inclusion of the Sinister Six.

Do you like the look of this new Spider-Man footage?

In 1274, the fearsome Mongol Empire invades the Japanese island of Tsushima and slaughters its legendary samurai defenders. While the earlier demo seen during the conference was focused on welcoming Spider-Man's iconic villains into the fold, the gameplay demo gave a better impression of how the game will function moment to moment. The demo ended with a climactic duel against a former ally, and solidified Ghost of Tsushima as an exclusive to watch for anyone who owns a PS4.

One of the smaller games announced at Sony's E3 2018 press conference was actually among the biggest surprises.

The total number of named villains to appear in the trailer is five. If you've ever played the Batman Arkham games, you'll feel right at home with Spider-Man, which has a very similar rhythm of punching, dodging and building up your combo meter to perform special moves. He also has a suit power that can incapacitate a large radius of enemies, should the player get overwhelmed. But we don't get to see who it is. Here is a quick description of Ghost of Tsushima "The year is 1274".

It's always seemed like the game was meant to be Marvel's answer to the Arkham Batman games, and this trailer suggests it will easily live up those lofty aims.

Unfortunately, there's no word on when Ghost of Tsushima will be released, but we believe that the game will be available sometime in 2019.
