E3 2018 is at the Los Angeles Convention Center from June 11 to 12, but Square Enix is choosing to stream directly to viewers instead of holding a stage show.
In the middle of the trailerfest, Square Enix dropped a new IP with a minute-long teaser and a title. The extreme weather looks pretty cool, actually, and, given that a lot of the Just Cause series seems to be about just finding the limits of weird stuff you can do with the game's wonky physics, this seems like it'd be pretty clutch.
Other Square Enix titles that should have some stage time include Just Cause 4, Octopath Traveler, the Final Fantasy 7 remake that was announced three years ago, and the Avengers project from Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal. Could there be more about Final Fantasy XV?Babylon's Fall is also new. The game looks to have some mix of live action with cut scenes, or perhaps they included it just for the trailer.
The game will have a very large focus on action. It also tells us that the game can be completed in one sitting, so The Quiet Man is definitely an intriguing game.
Just Cause 4 is a showcase for Avalanche's latest upgrade to the studio's open world Apex engine. According to the video you see above, Captain Spirit isn't Life is unusual 2, though it will feature links to the story and some of the characters who will appear in season 2.
After an exciting day full of announcements from Microsoft and Bethesda on Sunday, Square Enix is kicking things off on Monday with its first E3 press conference since 2015. The trailer we were given was pretty much the same as the one we saw yesterday during Microsoft's show, only cut differently with a little bit of new footage spliced in.
