Mom wanted me to do a film like 'Sairat': Janhvi

Directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Karan Johar and Zee Studios, "Dhadak" is an adaptation of the critically acclaimed Marathi blockbuster, Sairat.

"I saw Sairat with mom at home and I remember telling her "I wish that this was my first film and I could do something like it". It was then that director Shashank chose to chip in and say, "I can't direct you anymore". At Dhadak trailer launch, Janhvi was once again flooded with questions about he mother and said, 'I definitely miss her today'. I think that is our responsibility and their responsibility. "I tried portraying my character with a lot of honesty right from the beginning", she said.

Janhvi will be the newest face from the Anil-Boney Kapoor household to be part of Bollywood.

Recently, Namaste England actor, Arjun Kapoor re-tweeted a blog titled 'A good upbringing by an inspiring mom!' with a picture of him with his siblings, Anshula, Janhvi and Khushi from Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Anand S Ahuja's wedding reception. "Firstly, sorry I'm not there in Mumbai but I'm by your side, don't worry", Arjun posted on his Instagram handle on Sunday.

After months of waiting and piquing the curiosity of the viewers, the much-awaited trailer of Dhadak is slated to unveil on June 11, 2018. "It's not going to be easy but I know you are ready for all the madness that will ensue", the Mubarakaan actor wrote.

Filmmaker Karan Johar, who is producing Dhadak, also revealed that hit songs Zingaat and Yedlagla from Sairat have been remade while there are two original songs in Dhadak. All the best for #dhadak!
