In an interesting twist, this one is published by Activision, the mega-corporation best known for ongoing multiplayer games like Destiny and Call of Duty. FromSoftware has repeatedly said that there were no plans for any more sequels to the developer's hit series at the moment be it Bloodborne or Dark Souls, but that didn't stop the die-hard fans from hoping for a surprise announcement regardless.

Speaking on the game in an official press release from Activision, FromSoftware president and game director Hidetaka Miyazaki stated: "Collaborating with Activision on Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has been a very exciting experience for us". Short version: It looks awesome.

In the game, players come face-to-face with larger than life foes; unleash an arsenal of deadly prosthetic tools and powerful ninja abilities to blend stealth, vertical traversal, and visceral head-to-head combat in a bloody confrontation. Recent From Software projects, including the Dark Souls trilogy, were published by Bandai Namco. It will be a third-person, action-adventure game with RPG elements. Stay tuned for the start of E3 on June 12. We'll surely have more to report on Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice as details trickle out over the course of E3. Supported platforms have yet to be announced.
