Microsoft's E3 2018 was full of game announcements and this one may just have stolen the show. But William Gibson, author of Neuromancer and considered the father of cyberpunk, isn't convinced.

We've known about Cyberpunk 2077 for years and years at this point. To be fair, though, Gibson also spends his time on Twitter retweeting New York Times op-ed columnist Paul Krugman and former George W. Bush speechwriter David Frum, and that isn't very cyberpunk, either.

Sadly, if you were hoping for a release at the end of the trailer, you're going to be disappointed. Despite this, we totally want to go there. On the contrary - it gives us a lot of extra motivation. Today is the day. CDPR does confirm that the game will not have microtransactions, will be 100% DRM free on PC, and as far as free DLC and expansions go, to "expect nothing less than you got with The Witcher 3". Megacorporations [unreadable] civilised life, and gangs rule the rest.

Well, Cyberpunk 2077 is finally back. Instead, it tells us the tone and lets us dream about what's coming. Be on the lookout for the previews!

"2. How big? Seriously big, be honest, we have no bloody clue [unreadable] you can expect". And we promise we'll do this before we start talking about pre-orders or ask anything of you. It's the beauty of being an independent studio and your own publisher.

"Before we finish, you probably have some questions".
