The big announcements at EA Play ahead of E3 2018

EA's E3 2018 presentation will take place on June 9 at 2:00 p.m. ET / 11:00 a.m. PT.

ANTHEM, with the greatest of respect, does not look like a BioWare game. While no footage was shown, the idea of a battle royale mode made by Battlefield developer DICE was exciting enough to elicit a cacophony of cheers from the conference room. All player characters appear to be huddled together in a hub named Fort Tarsus, protecting themselves from the hostility of a world in constant flux.

EA's deal with the Star Wars franchise received scant attention during the press conference, with new Battlefront II content being revealed before Respawn Entertainment's next game title for EA was finally confirmed: Jedi: Fallen Order.

Anthem will release on February 22, 2019, for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

They will also get early access to Madden 19, Federation Internationale de Football Association 19, Battlefield V and Anthem. Details were scarce on the Interceptor, but we know it's the most agile of the classes while the Storm is a caster-type that could help support the squad. Each Javelin suit will feature different arrays of weapons and special abilities.

Anthem When Destiny coined the term "shared-world shooter", it was basically the only game in town.

Since other players will only ever see you decked out in your mecha armor, you'll obviously want to make it as rad as possible.

Star Wars Considering Star Wars Battlefront 2 launched just a year ago, we probably won't be getting a full successor any time soon, but EA is the exclusive license holder to Star Wars - if they're going to announce any new expansions for the game, now is the time.

The mythology of Anthem boasts a world abandoned by its gods, yet filled with the remnants of their tools and a mystical force called the Anthem of Creation.

BioWare emphasised how Anthem can be enjoyed both as a single-player title and a co-op multiplayer experience, but stated solo players may find certain missions more challenging.

The story features players living in a world that is unfinished. Players will be able to customize and personalize their suits with unique paint jobs and gear so they'll have the right tools to confront nearly any situation, and look good doing it.
