On the heels of Unravel 2's surprise release, today EA revealed another game from its EA Originals program: Sea of Solitude, an upcoming third-person exploration-focused game from Berlin-based developer Jo-Mei Games.
Humans turn into monsters when they get lonely. "Now only monsters can change her back", the description of the game reads.
Set in a beautifully painted world that looks like a watercolour come to life, you'll be playing as a young woman named Kay, who's so lonely that she's been transformed into something. not human. Her journey is nothing short of challenging since monsters lurk everywhere she goes.
"Sea of Solitude" was picked up in 2015 and it has since been in development. Kay must explore a partially submerged city in order to find the cure for herself, and possibly everyone else as well.
Writer-creator Cornelia Geppert says of the game that "Sea of Solitude is by far the most artistic and personal project I've ever created".
