The two-minute trailer shows Gosling's Armstrong grappling with the complexities of executing "one of the most unsafe missions in history" and the mission's personal impact on his anxious wife, played by Claire Foy, and their young sons.

The trailer, in addition to giving the first glimpse of Gosling as Armstrong, also showed Claire Foy as his concerned wife, Janet. Universal has just dropped the trailer for their upcoming Neil Armstrong biopic First Man, a film that I think we can safely assume is destined to win all of the awards.

They even get to see George Clooney floating by in space. Written by Oscar-winning Spotlight and The Post co-writer Josh Singer, the film is based on a book by James R. Hansen and chronicles the story of NASA's mission to land a man on the moon, focusing on Neil Armstrong between the years of 1961 and 1969.

Other stars in the film include Kyle Chandler, Pablo Schreiber and Jason Clarke. As reported by the Daily Mail, looking back at Armstrong's preparation and journey to the moon seems like an awe-inspiring and historical experience.

One reporter asks him his thoughts of how he would go down in history for his achievement, "if this flight is successful". "We're planning on the flight being successful".

So far, the Best Picture race appears to be MAJOR SLIM PICKENS so First Man will be like that first hunk of meat thrown to starving lions.
