Kevin Lee Gives Brutally Honest Take After Training With CM Punk

Kristopher Love | 09 June, 2018, 02:29

After four years away from WWE, CM Punk has been linked with a return to professional wrestling, but following a hugely impactful week, the MMA fighter has finally revealed his future.

Yesterday, the former "Voice Of The Voiceless" shot those rumours down.

UPDATE: Punk told a Canadian news outlet this morning that even though he hasn't received an offer, this doesn't mean he wants one ... adding, "I'm done with professional wrestling". Do you want him to? With all the talk over the last few weeks of Cody and The Young Bucks putting together "All In" and being the blueprint that other wrestlers should follow, I have been arguing that they have been following in Cabana's footsteps of the true example of how a wrestler does not to be part of a corporate machine to have a successful pro wrestling career.

It certainly looks like the first UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion took Punk's advice to heart as she knocked her debut out of the park.

CM Punk has opened upon his return to wrestlingWhat's the story?

Punk has been heavily linked with an appearance at the upcoming All In event on September 1 in recent weeks.

He continued on noting that he is completely focused on UFC for this weekend and the future. "I get it. Just know that I'm going to fight somewhere else, '" he said.

WWE doctor Christopher Amann had sued Punk, whose real name is Phil Brooks, over comments that he made in a podcast in 2014 in which he criticized WWE doctors for failing to diagnose a lump that was a staph infection.

Punk is now getting ready for his second ever fight against Mike Jackson at UFC 225 on June 9 in Chicago. "Yes or no?' Nobody's ever done that", Punk said.

From a personal point of view, I've been following the trial through online reports partly because it could have had ramifications in terms of the way that I and colleagues write and podcast about wrestling but also because of what I felt was the injustice. "You're entitled to your opinion, but you do not own me and I'm entitled to do what I want to do and that's what I'm doing".

"I feel that all of the pressure is on me, to be honest with you", said Jackson. I was just waiting for the super-anxiety and the nerves to kick in.

He said: "Something might come up, some fun might be had".

Do you think CM Punk can deliver his first MMA win this Saturday night at UFC 225? I mean, these are facts.
