NASA Is About to Announce a Massively Exciting Mars Discovery

The space agency says it involves "new science results" but you'll have to wait until 1 p.m.

As with most announcements of announcements, they've only released a few details, but we do know that the "live discussion" will talk about "new science results from NASA's Mars Curiosity rover".

Further details on the find, however, are now scarce and the rover's results have been embargoed by the journal Science until the official NASA unveiling.

"A fundamental question for this mission is whether Mars could have supported a habitable environment", Michael Meyer, lead scientist for NASA's Mars Exploration Program at the agency's headquarters in Washington, said in 2013 following the findings.

Also in conference will take part the senior scientific employee of Laboratory of jet movement NASA in Pasadena Chris Webster, an employee of a Scientific laboratory NASA JPL Ashwin Vasavada and the Director of the Department of intelligence of the solar system in space flight Center name Goddard Paul Mahaffey. The Curiosity rover is part of the MSL mission.

The event will be streamed on NASA's YouTube page, Facebook Live, Twitch TV, Ustream, and Twitter's Periscope platform.

One of the best Mars Rover Curiosity on the red planet's surface recorded unique new pictures. "The media advisory on Thursday's press conference on "new science results" from Curiosity rover states that results are embargoed by Science Magazine - and Eigenbrode's bio is suggestive".

"This was no small feat".

However, the rover had to pass one more hurdle and move the rock powder from its drill into its internal lab.

The sample transfer technique enables Curiosity to place its drill over two small inlets in addition to the rover's deck. Later this week, scientists hope to have Curiosity deliver rock samples to its chemistry lab. "It represents months and months of work by our team to pull this off", said Jim Erickson, MSL project manager. The risk paid off, and now we have a key pattern that we may have never received. On the other hand, despite some drilling problems that have since been solved, the little Mars Curiosity rover is still cruising on the planet while conducting experiments to help NASA scientists find some clues related to "something". "It is rather impressive to have a moment such as this, five years to the assignment".
