The update includes a new desert map, new missions, a local quick team feature, and more. Today, the Battle Royale phenomenon has been updated to version 0.5.0 and it brings forth a hand full of changes including a promised (and expected) new desert map called Miramar.

Ahead of the Xbox and just a few months after launch, the Miramar map just came to PUBG Mobile. To update this game right now you have to check Play Store My apps & games and see if there's any new update available or not for PUBG Mobile.

PUBG Mobile is absolutely free to download and play and you can grab it from the links which we've added below. The new update is dubbed v0.5.0 and is available on both the Android and iOS platforms.

According to the more detailed release notes, players can now "collect progress rewards when you reach new levels, then take on new missions". - Initial parachute speed increased to match the PC version. The developers at Tencent even added weekly Activity assignments you can complete to earn even more content. Also included - in response to player feedback - is a useful new social feature that allows players to create a quick team with nearby friends by entering a 6-digit code.

The filters work in a similar way to the language filters, and you'll be able to see the results on the spot. You'll find tons of new clothing, special clothing or items to buy for your character, and other add-ons. Various elements of the game have also been improved, including the "smoothness" of Spectator mode and parachute camera.
