According to the publication, police were notified by security guards at the event, who alleged that Kirk and his friends were "high" at the time of the incident.

Christian Kirk, a former standout at Scottsdale Saguaro and Texas A&M who was drafted in the second round by the Cardinals, was arrested nearly two months before the draft as he was leaving the Waste Management Phoenix Open.

"Getting that call was the best feeling in the world", Kirk said earlier this month about getting drafted by the team he rooted for growing up.

Kirk was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and property damage as we departing the Waste Management Phoenix Open, a PGA golf tournament that is known for its unruly crowds.

According to the report from the Scottsdale Police Department, Kirk and Carter McCarthy, both 21, were booked and released on the night of February 3 for throwing rocks at auto windows.

"We spoke with Christian about it at length and also looked into it independently", the Cardinals said in a statement.

Wilks said he believes the matter will be resolved in a couple of months. "As I stated before, we want to bring in great character guys, and I think Christian is one of those guys". That is what I would be interested to know, and I'm sure we won't get an answer. He played high school football at Scottsdale Saguaro High.

The Cardinals drafted him with the No. 47 overall pick in hopes of giving their first-round pick, UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen, a reliable target for years to come.
