At the beginning of May, Oppo announced its partnership with Amazon & launched its new sub-brand, Realme. The first smartphone, the Realme 1 will launch in Delhi today, and the event will kick off 12:30 PM IST.

The Realme 1 will go up for sale exclusively on Amazon India starting May 25 for as low as ₹8,990 ($135), and the aggressive pricing suggests OPPO is intent on stealing market share away from Xiaomi. The e-commerce platform already has a dedicated page live for the same. The Realme 1 has a 13MP rear camera with an f/2.2 aperture, and an 8MP front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture. The rear of the Realme 1 with the diamond finish looks similar to the OPPO F7 Diamond Black special edition smartphone. Another variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory will be available sometime later for Rs 10,990. "The 6.0" FHD+ Full Screen of Realme 1 is complemented by an "Art of Light" design in Diamond black, with exquisite details crafted for young users.

The first sale of the device will be conducted on May 25, noon onwards. The storage is further expandable up to 256GB via micro SD card, and it is good to see a triple slot, i.e., the user can use dual SIM and an SD card at the same time. The mid-range phone is tipped to house a 3410mAh battery and Realme also teased an AI battery management feature to give the phone extra juice.

The Realme 1 is powered by Mediatek's Helio P60 NeuroPilot AI technology which renders different camera-focused additions like real-time beautification and more. The Chinese firm's Realme manufacturer is meant to get e-commerce, also will mostly offer smartphones into the Indian childhood costly involving the Rs. 10,000 into Rs. 20,000 scope, although more superior tablets will also be proposed.

Front camera: Up front, you get an 8-megapixel sensor which supports screen flash and depth mode as well. Talking about the specifications, the Realme 1 comes with a 6-inch 18:9 display with Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) resolution. Reliance Jio is giving out offers worth Rs 4,850 with the device.

The dualSIM phone will be backed by a a 3,410mAh battery but without the fast charging support.

The AI Shot included in Realme 1, acts as a personal beauty artist to customize beauty based on your unique facial features so that your photos will "capture the real you". The smartphone also offers speedy Face Unlock which can unlock the phone in 0.1 seconds as claimed by the company.
