First wave of artists for Cal Jam 18 revealed

The event will take place on Friday, Oct. 5 and Saturday, Oct. 6 at the Glen Helen Regional Park & Festival Grounds. Cal Jam 18 will also feature a Friday night party on October 5 headlined by Billy Idol.

Tickets to the event will go on sale on May 17, Thursday, at 10 a.m. PST.

Foo Fighters will close the proceedings with one of their traditional rock marathons, bringing back what Forbes called "another great rock and roll party from the band who does them better than anyone else today".

One-day tickets cost $99 (plus taxes and fees), according to the announcement. Visit the festival website and Live Nation for more information.

The Foo Fighters is now on a break from touring in support of their most recent album Concrete and Gold, which was released back in 2017. The Foos curated the festival and will once again headline, alongside Iggy Pop (billed "with Post Pop Depression", possibly referencing his 2016 collaboration with Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age), Deer Tick, Tenacious D, Garbage, Manchester Orchestra, and more. Campers will be treated to outdoor midnight movies and access to the water park. Stay tuned for the full schedule to be announced!
