New male character (from latest half)Without the inclusion of basic in-game move lists or character tutorials, Dissidia Final Fantasy NT presents players with a pretty steep barrier to entry and learning curve.

"I've worked on numerous titles with Uematsu-san, and while I'm now working on the production of Final Fantasy VII Remake, it's actually been since Final Fantasy X that I directly worked with Uematsu-san", Kitase said.

On the Lifestream forums, a member who goes by the handle "hian" uploaded the translation of a recording of a behind-closed-doors conversation between Kitase and Hamaguchi, along with Square Enix character designer Tetsuya Nomura.

Some of the topics that were discussed included changes that they are making in the Final Fantasy VII Remake and that the development of the game is progressing smoothly.

A screenshot showing an excerpt of the interview can be looked over right here, whereupon Kitase explains how he worked with Uematsu on several projects and how he thought Uematsu wouldn't be interested working on Final Fantasy VII Remake.

Hamaguchi seemingly wants the Final Fantasy VII Remake release date to arrive sooner than 2023, though, so it will likely not be a game 10 years in the making like Final Fantasy XV. We may still have to wait for some time before this game rolls out.

While the majority of fans knew that the Final Fantasy VII remake wasn't anywhere near completion, we couldn't have anticipated just how delayed its production would be.

As you might recall, Uematsu is the composer behind various classic Final Fantasy games including the original FFVII. The Final Fantasy series in itself is a major franchise for Square Enix, spanning over numerous games, spinoffs, and subseries.
