Jio, represented by senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi and advocate K R Sasriprabhu, claimed the advertisements "falsely proclaim" that Airtel was offering "live and free" access to T20 cricket coverage, and "falsely represent that a subscriber need only obtain a 4G sim from the defendant company and download the Airtel TV app to obtain a virtual season pass i.e live and free access to T20 coverage". The total data offered in the pack is 56GB data and the validity period is of 28 days. It also introduced a new broadband plan at Rs 2,199.

Idea Cellular, which is amongst the largest telecom services provider in India, on Saturday, rolled out a new prepaid plan of Rs 249 for their customers, providing stiff competition to rivals like Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio.

According to OpenSignal's report, the availability of 4G in India increased over the period of last six months. As of now, Idea 249 tariff pack is available for select customers, but will soon be available for all the users.

Hence, the report finds that Jio has the worst speed, even slower than Idea and Vodafone.

The sending of such an innovation implies clients will have the capacity to achieve superfast 4G speeds or as some say pre 5G speeds that assistance gets to consistent information network at fast inside an area of the high-thickness userbase. The report speculates that the JioBroadcast app may be rebranded as the Jio Home TV app.

Having said that, while Airtel dominated 4G download speeds chart at a national level, it lost to Idea in UP East and UP West circles, and to Vodafone in Gujarat and Tamil Nadu circles. However, there haven't been much improvements in the download speeds, as they remained mostly stagnant.

If we believe Opensignal's latest report on mobile Internet speed in India, then a shocking revelation comes into the picture: Jio has one of the worst 4G speed, compared with other telecom operators. OpenSignal said Reliance Jio is the dominant player in terms of 4G availability.

In October 2017 study, India's market leader also rated top in both 4G and 3G speeds, and demonstrated an average LTE downloads of 9.2 Mbps and 3G downloads of 3.6 Mbps on its networks.
