No release date has been given as yet, but Saber Interactive says that NBA Playgrounds 2 will be released in 2018 for PC, PS4, Switch and Xbox One, . We also listened to community feedback and have added four-player online games where you can have each player be a human player online or any combination of human and AI opponents. You'll now be able to take your team through a season, the playoffs, and win the NBA Championship, with special players to collect depending on the team you choose to take all the way. Sabre Interactive is touting over 200 current and retired National Basketball Association players that are in-game to unlock via their card pack mechanic.
The team also developed a new Season Mode for the game.
NBA Playgrounds 2 promises to improve upon the original game and include more mode, more players, more playground and more courts. There are new moves and power-ups to bust out, improved AI, and new player models and animations.
