On Saturday afternoon, officers were called to a foster home on Cornwallis Crescent where a resident was accused of assaulting two staff members. In their complaint to the police, the parents said that their child had complained of irritation in her private parts after which they took her to a doctor.

A man, who claimed to cure backaches through witchcraft, has been convicted of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl on pretext of treating her ailment, with a city court relying on the sole testimony of the victim.

Surrey RCMP have issued a warning to the public, saying there may be other victims, after five incidents of alleged sexual assault have now been reported at two different locations of the same beauty business in Surrey. The court noted that the girl has been consistent in her statements before the police and the court.

Police are investigating an incident in which a 22-year-old Venezuelan woman was sexually assaulted on Saturday night.

The man appeared at Naas Circuit Court last Friday morning, April 13, and pleaded not guilty to all of the charges.

"Reporting a sexual assault to police can be a very hard thing to do, as it is a very personal event", said Surrey RCMP Sgt. Chad Greig.

The two accused are related to each other and known to the victim, police said.
