But Hotel Artemis ain't a hotel, despite its name.

Video: We've been hearing about Iron Man 3 screenwriter Drew Pearce's directorial debut for a while now, but we finally have a look at the dystopian future of Hotel Artemis in action - and its pretty unbelievable cast of criminals.

The ensemble cast includes Jodie Foster as Nurse, Sterling K. Brown as Waikiki, Sofia Boutella as Nice, Jeff Goldblum as The Wolf King/Niagara, Brian Tyree Henry as Honolulu, Jenny Slate as Morgan, Zachary Quinto as Ilya, Charlie Day as Acapulco, and Dave Bautista as Everest. The two time Oscar-winner Foster has spent most of her time behind the camera in the five years since her last feature film starring role, in Neill Blomkamp's 2013 sci-fi feature Elysium. Foster plays the hospital's main nurse and overseer. Watch the trailer below.

The movie is written and directed by Steven Pearce.

Drew Pearce is best known for creating the British sitcom "No Heroics" and writing the story for "Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation", but that will soon change thanks to "Hotel Artemis". We expect to see plenty of comparisons to John Wick, but aside from the similar premise of the hotel/hospital for criminals, Hotel Artemis is clearly different in tone.

From there it seems the rag-tag crew of criminals have to fight their way out of the hotel before The Wolf King (Jeff Goldblum) finds them. Entitled Hotel Artemis, it's an action-thriller focussing on a members-only secret hospital in Los Angeles that caters towards criminals.
