They already postponed the afternoon Game 1, so there will be no Game 2 either on Sunday.

Locally, the Lansing Lugnuts were scheduled for a first pitch at 6:05 p.m. ET against the West Michigan Whitecaps. When they take the field on Tuesday, they will have had three full days off, a rarity in baseball's regular season.

There is rain in the forecast on Sunday, and Wayne County is under a winter storm advisory for possible ice, sleet and snow overnight. And the team's sixth game of the season, on April 4 against the Royals, also was postponed. The games will be made up as a day-night doubleheader on June 4.

The Tigers will stay in rotation through Sunday's split doubleheader.

The Tigers plan to start Francisco Liriano on Tuesday, Matthew Boyd on Wednesday and Jordan Zimmermann on Thursday.

The first game had been planned as a make-up game after Saturday's game between the teams had been rained out. Both teams share a mutual off-day.
