A flawless game to take on your summer holidays now!

Announced earlier this year during a Nintendo Direct, Dark Souls: Remastered - along with the Solaire of Astora amiibo - was poised to arrive on May 25.

In a press release, Bandai Namco confirmed thatDark Souls: Remastered for the Nintendo Switch will be delayed from it's initial May release, all other versions of the remastered game will still come out on the expected date. That delay also applies to the Solaire amiibo, Bandai Namco explains.

Switch owners wanting to experience From Software's classic on a Nintendo console are going to have to wait a little longer...

The PS4, Xbox One and PC versions of Dark Souls Remastered will still release on schedule, and will be playable starting May 25. This marks the franchise's debut on a Nintendo platform and as a portable title.

It may be that Polish developer QLOC, who are handling the remaster, have got a bit out of their depth though, as evidenced by them needing more time.

The game will sell for $39.99 for the console versions, no price has been set for the steam version yet.
