Also, we could anticipate the variable dual aperture feature from the Galaxy S9 & S9 lineups. However, it is reassuring knowing that you have more power since 2GB of RAM for a smartphone seems to be important. Illustrations included in patent documents show the notch housing the front camera, earpiece, and a host of other sensors. The Korean company could introduce the notch with the Galaxy Note 9.

Samsung could begin manufacturing OLED displays for this year's iPhone lineup as early as May. It should increase the phone's cost of production. That's a departure from Samsung's center-aligned camera design.

The Note 9 is expected to retain the 3.5mm headphone jack and the Bixby button.

One of the big similarities is that both of them come with a Snapdragon 845 mobile platform - Qualcomm's latest chip which is built using ultra-efficient 10nm process.

It has previously been reported that LG would also manufacture displays for the 2018 iPhone lineup, but it appears the company is not yet capable of reaching Apple's high demand, hence the reason Samsung is instead set to become the sole OLED display provider once again. Also on offer is 16GB of internal storage which is further expandable via a microSD card.

Samsung already has a stellar line-up of devices with its Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S9 flagships considered to be some of the best smartphones money can buy. Of course, the Note 9 will be accompanied by an improved S Pen stylus. It is possible that the Note 9 model with 4,000mAh battery will be sold in selected markets, while the rest of the world will get the 3,850mAh model. Some details about the Galaxy Note 9 have surfaced online and a report by popular leaker Evan Blass reveals the codename the flagship device will carry.

This Note 9 battery news comes at a bad time for Samsung. The device would run Samsung's custom UI on top of Android Oreo, though it should receive the Android P update soon after launch.
