Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Daryl Worley was arrested on Sunday, April 15th, and with that, his run in "The City of Brotherly Love" may be over. He was set to make $670,000 this season.

Worley was allegedly "combative" with officers, who recovered a gun from the scene.

Fortunato Perri, Worley's attorney, has not responded to calls from PennLive, but he spoke with ABC6 Action News on Sunday. "We're going to look at it and hopefully resolve it favorably enough so that he can maintain his career".

Police said Worley, 23, a North Philadelphia native with a listed address in Swedesboro, N.J., was found passed out in a auto near Broad Street and Pattison Avenue, outside the team's practice facility, around 6 a.m. Sunday.

He went on to play at West Virgina University, where he was teammates with Eagles cornerback Rasul Douglas, wide receiver Shelton Gibson and cornerback Rasul Douglas. Worley started 25 games in his two seasons with the Panthers. Worley was only with the team for a little more than a month.

Court documents show police arrested Worley about a block from the Eagles' practice facility, where the team will begin its offseason workout program Monday. The Super Bowl champions acquired him in a trade with the Carolina Panthers in early March. It carries a penalty of $10,000 and a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.
