Mauricio Pochettino doesn't think race for Premier League top-four is over

Manager Mauricio Pochettino will be relishing this big battle as Spurs look to cement their place in the top four with a win, as they sit ten points ahead of 5th placed Chelsea on the table.

They can not get the job done at the national stadium due to United playing on Sunday, but victory would put one hand on the trophy.

The wheels look to have come off the Citizens' wagon at precisely the wrong moment, and with Spurs finishing the season strongly, much as they did last season when winning 12 of their final 13 games, it promises to be another week of waiting for City as the hosts take all three points. Pochettino still sees them as the best team in England and did not wish to compare his team to theirs. On form, Tottenham are the most likely winners and the home advantage could play a part for them. They deserve a lot of praise.

"Strikers are different, they have to be different and we all like it".

"I do think that we are always looking to respond in that way on the pitch", Kompany said.

It always promised to be a historic week for Pep Guardiola.

Spurs continued their winning run as they beat Stoke City 2-1 on the road.

"It's still not over, the Premier League, it's almost over, but we can say City were the most consistent over the whole season".

Spurs welcome Manchester City to Wembley Stadium on Saturday evening.

West Brom caretaker boss Darren Moore picked up a point against Swansea in his first match in charge last weekend, but there is no getting away from the fact that they are on their way to the Championship and this could prove another long afternoon.

"In football until you get or you achieve what you want, never in football is it over until the end", he warned.

Indeed, Pep Guardiola's "army" still have to be officially crowned as Premier League champions and need a total of six points from six games to capture the crown.

Erik Lamela and Lucas Moura are pushing for recalls but I think Hueng-min Son has done enough in recent months to warrant a starting spot.

Danny Rose is out for Tottenham with a calf injury.

Fabian Delph could replace Laporte at left-back but Kyle Walker will start on the right and he'll be hoping to justify his decision to leave Spurs by sealing the title in front of his old supporters.

Pochettino said there was nothing untoward about Kane's determination to get credit for the goal. "The fans feel disappointed that he made a decision to move but in the end it is human nature that sometimes you need a new challenge, new experience, motivation".

Despite being overshadowed by Salah's brilliance this term, Kane has had another excellent season himself, with speculation continuing to link him with moves to the likes of Real Madrid.
