"It can not go unpunished", he tweeted.

In Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua an eight-year-old Muslim nomadic girl was allegedly abducted, drugged, raped, tortured and killed.

Thankfully, Union Minister Vicky Singh has remarked on this matter, "We have failed Asifa as humans". It does not just tie in with her community's rights - along with the Unnao rape case in U.P., in which the victim's father died in police custody this week, it shows how loaded the system is against those seeking justice.

At present, #JusticeForAsifa and #RapeAndMurderOfHumanity are trending online. I really hope and pray justice is done. and soon.

Madhav is the BJP central leaderships pointsman for the state where the party is a partner in the government led by PDPs Mehbooba Mufti.

According to BJP Madhya Pradesh chief's and Khandwa lawmaker Nandkumar Singh Chauhan, the brutal rape and murder had been scripted by Pakistan. "Proper procedures are being followed, investigations are on the fast track & justice will be delivered".

Ram, who planned Asifa's abduction, was "against the settlement" of Bakerwals in Kathua and "always always kept on motivating members of his community of the area not to provide land for grazing or any other kind of assistance", the charge sheet said.

On January 14, Sanji's nephew strangled her to death and hammered her with a stone to make sure she was dead.

The rape and murder of a minor girl in Kathua has triggered communal tension in the state.

However, the incident took a odd turn later when large number of local Hindus took to the streets, waving the national Indian national flag and demanding unconditional release of the main accused Deepak Khajuria who is a Special Police Officer (SPO).

The minister of state in the PMO, Jitendera Singh, had also said that there was no harm in handing over the case to the CBI if the people were not satisfied with the investigations of the crime branch. But the Chief Minister out rightly rejected the demand. "But after the strike and protests were called in Jammu, they chose to abandon their home", the report said quoting Nisar Ahmad Khan, Pujwala's brother.

Her tweet comes after the Jammu Bar Association staged protests against the handling of the case by the Jammu and Kashmir Police Crime Branch. "The media should report events in an honest manner", Slathia said. "She has not been raped but the Commission, whose repeated recommendations are being ignored". The police have arrested eight people including the custodian of the temple, his son and two Special Police Officers for their alleged involvement in the crime.
