Prosecutors in Los Angeles considering sexual assault case against Kevin Spacey

The Los Angeles County District Attorney's workplace is reviewing a sexual assault situation against disgraced Oscar-winning actor Kevin Spacey, " Fox News has heard Wednesday.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said in a statement that the alleged incident involved an adult male.

Prosecutors from the Los Angeles District Attorney's industry sex crimes task force are considering bringing a charge over a claim that Spacey attacked a man in West Hollywood in October 1992.

Even the 58-year-old actor has been dismissed from the popular show.

"Yes. I can confirm our office did receive a case involving Kevin Spacey", Greg Risling, a spokesman for the district attorney's office, said in an email.

The Oscar-winning actor was accused of sexual assault by a number of men during the #MeToo movement, leading to authorities in both the US and the United Kingdom - where he often worked - opening criminal investigations against him. The Oscar-winner is already being investigated by Scotland Yard regarding at least three sexual assault complaints.

"Spacey additional that although having relationships through the years together with both women and men, " I choose today to reside as a homosexual individual". The Old Vic theater said it has received 20 allegations of inappropriate behavior involving him.

A spokeswoman for Spacey's legal team declined to comment on the latest investigation.

Days later, members of the "House of Cards" production staff detailed sexual harassment and an alleged instance of sexual assault to CNN. Ridley Scott also edited out Spacey from his lead role in "All the Money in the World", reshooting parts of the film with Christopher Plummer as John Paul Getty Sr.
