Danish indie developer Adrian Lazar has been working on his atmospheric platformer Planet Alpha with a small team ever since 2015, garnering some notable attention over the years.

Planet Alpha, in development by Planet Alpha ApS, a small team based in Denmark founded by Adrian Lazar, former IO developer, combines fast platforming, stealth, and creative puzzles.

Planet Alpha is a recently announced title developed by the studio of the same name and published by Team17, the same company that is behind Overcooked, The Escapists 2, and other great titles. Planet Alpha is due out for all major platforms later on in 2018, and we'll keep you updated with future details and impressions of it as they come.

Taking place on an unknown alien planet it's not only the exotic flora and fauna that impresses, but also the breathtaking volumetric fog, fire, and destruction effects.

But is the world as "tranquil and serene" as it seems, or is there something more sinister at work beneath the surface?

There's no date set in stone yet, but it's likely we'll see the game release later this year. According to Lazar, Team17 "truly believes in Planet Alpha as much as we do".

Debbie Bestwick, MBE, CEO of Team17 added, "At their best video games can take us to different worlds on wonderful journeys". The world that Adrian and his team have made is one that I want to spend time in.

Power Over Night and Day - The world of Planet Alpha is affected by the solar cycle, and as you progress you'll discover a unique gift - you can manipulate the time of day and use it to your advantage.
